TOOLROOM LEADING HAND
| KEY RESPONSIBILITIES | |
| SCHEDULING | Schedule reconditioning for all tools and spare parts for maintenance. Organise labour to carry out maintainable work on machinery. Liaise with production for their toolage requirements. Maintain toolage register. |
| LEADERSHIP | Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports within the Maintenance team. |
| PURCHASING | Raise purchase order requisitions to maintain and build toolage as required. |
| SAFETY | Responsible for safety performance through effective housekeeping to minimise accident severity and frequency. Stop production until non-conforming product, mechanical defect or unsafe condition has been rectified. Initiate Opportunity for Improvement for the rectification of non-conforming or unsafe conditions in product, equipment or processes |
| QUALITY ASSURANCE | Will carry out the duties for this function as defined in this position description and the policies, manual and work instructions of the DSI Business System. |
| WHS | Shall ensure that the work health, safety and environmental requirements of this function are maintained in accordance with statutory legislation and company policies and procedures. |
