OPERATION MANAGER (Jakarta Based)
RESPONSIBILITIES : 1. Lead and organize the operation resources (Operation & tender) to achieve its commitment in the most efficient and effective manner. 2. Implement Operational strategies to ensure the business delivers in accordance to the projects and/or clients requirements in full and on time. 3. Ability to organize and kick start any new and existing project or multiple projects in accordance to the projects requirements. 4. Manage a safe system of work, implement and sustain behavioral safety programmed approach to process operations in collaboration with HSE. Support a high degree of HSE awareness in SPIE Indonesia. Ensure maintenance of, and compliance with, SPIE HSE standards. Support HSSE performance improvement of the Indonesia office. 5. Motivate, plan, develop and structure people in Operation team as part of integrated succession planning process to ensure achievement of operations excellence. 6. Lead significant change initiatives to improve operational improvement of local sites in line with the business unit's objective. 7. To report the assigned line of reporting to Country Manager timely on the issues that might arise from the site execution throughout the whole execution process. 8. Strong tendering and negotiation competence – understands how to effectively bid and win work, both technically and commercially and provide strong intelligent supports. 9. To coordinate and assist in the preparation of CFT's with Corporate, Finance, and projects and in relation to Operational, commissioning, training, and understand what is required for TA positions as requested by client and for selection of potential candidates, to ensure our proposal meets the requirements / expectations of the clients. 10. Regularly attends the weekly and monthly coordination meeting with the client for the Accomplishment Report and Production Report wherein discuss the possible problems to be encountered in each projects for the outcome of best possible solution so as not to affect the estimated target date of project completion. 11. Will be the interim/buffer between the contracted SPIE staff and the clients to resolve and solve any issues relating to T&C's before they reach the clients. 12. Able to source and fill any position requested by our clients with Indonesian or foreign nationals capable of assessing there suitability for the designated position with pre-interview discussions prior to client submission. 13. Capable of discussing with our clients new and old there business/operational requirements with respect to staffing matters. 14. Must be able to liaise with clients for operational requirements, represent SPIE at a supervisory level for operational purposes, to understand the constraints, issues and problems associated with offshore and onshore production operations and maintenance activities. 15. To be based in Jakarta office but with regular visits to the field offshore and onshore, to be aware of client expectations and be able to relate to issues of SPIE personnel, to raise the profile of SPIE with the workforce and client and to implement a reporting structure that allows SPIE to control complaints and issues reported to the client prior to SPIE.
REQUIREMENTS : • Engineering degree or HNC equivalent in Electrical/Instrument/Mechanical/Process/Civil disciplines. • Minimum 7 years experience in the oil and gas industry with at least 3 years in managerial position. • Knowledge of HSE principles and active application of HSE standards. • An understanding of budget control and management and commercial skills. • Able to travel Offshore as and when required. • Able to communicate with all our clients (Local & Foreign). • Computer literate. • Able to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written. • Proactive, adaptive and resourceful. • Independent, self-starter and yet a team player. • Excellent networking skills and able influence people at all levels.
