Background
Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia's AgriFin Mobile Program will end on 31 August 2018. Over the past six years, the AgriFin Mobile program has developed and facilitated two business models in partnership with the private sector, government, farmer institutions, and local traders:
- Agriculture Financing Model for Corn farmers in Sumbawa Island, and
- Bundle of Branchless Banking and Loans for Smallholder Farmers in Malang, Banyuwangi, Southeast Aceh Districts, and Lombok Island.
It is planned that the good practices and lessons learned that have been obtained in connection with these two business models during the implementation of the program will be disseminated and shared with relevant national and local stakeholders, in the form of regional events, national events, and video production.
In connection with these objectives, Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia's AgriFin Mobile Program requires a videographer to produce two videos about the beneficiaries and its impacts related to the two business models facilitated by the program. The selected videographer will work together with the AgriFin Program Director and AgriFin Event Consultant during the period of August 2018.
Consultant Objectives:
Produce two high-quality, 3-5 minutes videos on the AgriFin Mobile's programming with a special focus on knowledge of models, services and products are captured and shared for dissemination and replication featuring two business models, best approaches, best practices, achievements and real impacts in the project areas. In this regard, featuring testimonies from the branchless banking agents, local traders, head of farmer groups, and farmers through the video will effectively illustrate the impact of the program on individual lives.
Consultant Activities
- Develop the scripts and storyboards for two videos focusing on the program impact to the farmers and the farmers' families to be used in the video;
- Visit the project sites in Malang District and Sumbawa Island and interact with the local communities who've been impacted by the AgriFin Mobile supported projects to get the context;
- Interview selected interviewees for the video which could include branchless banking agents, local traders, head of farmer groups, and farmers;
- Capture the required surrounding and context related shots, and interviews with the projects' major beneficiaries and stakeholders;
- Provide voice talent for the video voice over in Bahasa Indonesia with English subtitles;
- Create video animations if needed;
- Narrate, edit, and produce two high-quality videos (in FHD 60 fps and in compressed formats) that highlights the implementation and impact of AgriFin Mobile Program.
- Present video drafts to the AgriFin team in Jakarta at the end of the field mission and edit as needed based on the team's feedback;
- In addition to the video, capture at least 50 high quality pictures of AgriFin Mobile Program activities during the field visit.
Consultant Deliverables
- Submit a storyboard and script for the documentary to the AgriFin Program Director for approval before filming;
- Produce one 3-5 minutes video clip highlighting the impact of the program related to the Agriculture Financing Model for Corn farmers in Sumbawa Islands;
- Produce one 3-5 minutes video clip highlighting the impact of the program related to the Bundle of Branchless Banking and Loans for Smallholder Farmers in Malang;
- Provide the raw footage for future usage;
- Provide at least 50 high quality pictures.
- 3 and above years of experience working in similar field;
- Extensive experience in producing development work related documentaries for international organizations with the aim of reaching both local and international audiences;
- Experience working with NGO agencies and other international organizations;
- Local Knowledge of the all regions in Indonesia particularly the AgriFin Mobile project areas;
- Excellent technical capacities (state of the art filming equipment) to ensure smooth and high-quality production;
- Additional experience in development communication will be an added advantage;
- Additional production team will be an added advantage.

- Malang Districts (East Java);
- Bima and Dompu Districts (Sumbawa Islands, West Nusa Tenggara)
Timeframe / Schedule
The assignment to produce two videos is expected to take 22 calendar days from the date of signing the contract, from 6th until 27th August 2018.
Yayasan Mercy Corps Indonesia will provide the consultant with all existing documentation related to the SOW upon request.
